I’ve had this on my mind for over 3 years and I’m finally just saying the heck with it and doing it.  In true Sara style, there’s a back story and a current story and lots of back and fort so just spend 11 minutes and watch the whole thing, haha.  Then leave a comment for me and let me know if you can relate to any of this!

  1. Ok, I wish I lived there, I need workout buddies and am feeling so bored with what I am doing! I live in AZ and I really was just telling my husband how fun it would be to try a bunch of different kinds of gyms and have a blog about it. I just wasn’t sure how to make it all work and some things I want to try are quite pricey per month! This sounds awesome!!

  2. I needed to hear this! Thanks! I wish I was in Boise and could join you. 😊

  3. This looks amazing! Way to go just going for it. I hace greatly enjoyed following you on Instagram.

  4. I have been trying to get myself comfortable in the gym by forcing myself to try new things lately so I’m so on board for this! I’m not local but I’m posting about my journey on my Instagram account @theintentionalme I’d love to join in the hashtag and get acquainted with new fitness stuff.

  5. I can’t wait to see more!! I’ve always wanted to do a barre class. You should put that in your que!!

It’s totally on my list! There are a couple of new Barre studios here and it’s on my list!

  6. You are amazing! I need this sooo bad. I have attempted to work out and eat healthy several times and I have lost a little weight but I have never kept with it and always gained it back. I am quite a bit overweight and there are several things that keep me from joining a gym (money, too overweight, have no idea what to do once there, etc.). In the middle of January I said enough and my husband and I have started working out and eating healthier together and so far I have lost 25 pounds and have 55 to go until my first goal.

I have been working out at home, but I am wanting to try new things and I don’t have the courage or knowledge of what to do or where to start. Basically, I am so excited about what you are doing. I also live in Boise and I desperately need that workout buddy, so hopefully I will get the confidence to join you!

Brenda!! This is amazing. 25lbs is such a huge accomplishment! You MUST join me, okay? I’d love to meet you and we could have fun working out together!

  7. So fun Sara! A group of us at the Y were kind of doing this on Friday mornings for awhile…we called it our Friday Funday. We would hike to tablerock, go rollerblading on the green belt, ski at Bogus, we took real kickboxing class with bags and all, etc. It’s just fun to get out of your normal routine and do different stuff! I would love to joIn you when I can! If you need any help lmk!

I remember seeing photos! haha. You should join me some time, would be a blast! Maybe one of my things can be TRX with Jani 🙂

  8. Sara I LOVE this! Working out with buddies is always a good idea! Can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve! Seriously you are such a crack up I love listening to you. I’d love to join ya.

  9. I so enjoy following you!! You are so fun to watch and I love your post! I am excited for this new adventure for you! Thanks

  10. I have been eyeing Cutting Edge Pilates on Fairview. I am also always in the hunt for a good dance option (former dancer). A little burned out on Zumba but I thought maybe some of the local dance studios might have an option for adults?

  11. Love this idea!! Would for sure work out with you!! You should put Barre3 on your list, great workout!

    • I wholeheartedly agree that you have to try barre3. (Not just any barre workout, specifically barre3, in my opinion). I just checked their website and they have a studio in Eagle, Idaho. It’s the most amazing workout and welcoming environment. I no longer live near a studio so I get my fix with their online workouts, which are also excellent. I LOVE this idea and can’t wait to follow along and join in (from the Midwest)! 🙂

  12. This is totally my story too. Fight tooth and nail to lose the weight and the. Suddenly I’m starting over again. Lol but I love what you’re doing. I love hiit. It’s so effective for me. Also there are tons of cool YouTube people (Cassey ho, lsf, fitness blender, body project) love them all! If you wanted to do some of those and give feedback. I don’t mind the gym but I love getting it done quick at home. And if I have sick kids or something, no excuse. Excited to see what you do here.

Wonderful! If you love HIIT you’ll be really interested in the first one I’m doing!

  13. I can definitely relate to so much of what you said! Looking forward to some great inspiration. Kudos for having the courage to get out there!

  14. I just moved to Boise from New Mexico and left all my workout buddies behind. I’m excited to hear about all of the fun places here to try, and hopefully gain some workout friends along the way.

  15. You are so fun to watch, and I love this idea! I live in Florida and go to the YMCA (Free kid care? Yes, please!) They use the Les Mills programming. Last week I tried Pound for the first time. It was very different from my usual weightlifting/kickboxing group x class. And, despite being a newbie with not a lot of rhythm, I had a lot of fun! My favorite class is Bodyflow, a combination of tai chi, yoga, and Pilates. It’s more challenging than I thought it would be, but those last minutes of mediation/relaxation make it all worth it! I recommend it to everyone.

That’s so good to know! I have lots of friends who teach Les Mills but I’ve never really done any!

  16. Sounds fun! And why is it when I watch fitness/health videos I usually have an oreo or some sort of snack food in my hand. I REALLY need to try some new exercise routines or systems because I haven’t found anything that I love yet, which is not helping this body…of course neither is the oreo consumption.

  17. You are seriously awesome. Amen to all of this! I am local so who knows maybe I’ll join you. 😊 I have followed you for years and love how real you always are. I need to adopt this mentality. Just do it!

  18. Sara! Congrats on this darling website! You are made to do amazing things! As a fellow mom of four boys & someone who has always battled that 25-40 pound issue, I identify so much with you & am stoked to see what you come up with. I would totally consider driving over to Boise once a week to work out with you too-there is something even more fun and motivating when it’s working out with other people who have a common goal.

Also, I just read your bio and am amazed with your horticulture background! We recently had our lawn landscaped and for some reason the landscaper saw fit to pour pea gravel around our firepit (we both hate pea gravel because little boys love to double fist and throw it EVERYWHERE!), so we are looking at doing pavers all around that area ourselves (he quoted us $3k!!) do you think it’s doable for two people who have never done anything like that? 😂 we are farm grown kids who have access to lots of people who know how to run machines. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

  19. Worked for me!👍🏼 Can’t wait to watch the whole thing, maybe tonight after the kids are in bed. Thanks, I love you!!! Just went to Boise and was secretly hoping I might just bump into you, but then I found out you were in Florida😂😩😪 .

  20. What a great idea! I think you should try High fitness…if they have that in your area. It’s all over the place in Utah.

  21. This sounds so fun! From the Treasure Valley as well. Some things for your queue that I’d love to find beginner/introductory… Adult swim lessons, lacrosse, mountain biking.

  22. I love this idea! I need to find something I love doing and that doesn’t feel like a chore. There is a class at Shine Fitness in Meridian called Bounce Fitness Class that looks and sounds so fun! It would be fun to go with someone too! I’m in a very similar situation after having my fifth baby almost two years ago.

  24. 1. I miss your lookie what I found IG account 😂 I had forgotten how much I loved that! Maybe we need a 2.0 version… haha!
    2. Yes. Yes. Yes. So much good in this video. I love your vision and can’t wait to see where you take it. I’m committing to trying something new at my gym! I’m done being the girl at the back of the class!!

Haha, that instagram account is probably exactly opposite of what I need but I miss it to! lol!

  26. I love it!! I’m really hoping you try out that pole dancing stuff because that looks hard! But if I went, I’d shrivel up and die in the corner of discomfort so I’d rather watch you. 😂😂 And then I’ll try it.😉

  27. Love this video! You are so inspiring! I would love to try a bunch of new gym classes!

  28. Try Orange Theory Fitness! I LOVE it! I recently got out of my comfort zone to try CrossFit too. I didn’t love it at first, and I don’t think I’d give up OTF for it, but it’s a great workout! Excited to see what else you try!

  29. This is exciting! You’re definitely a positive when it comes to the craziness of the interwebs. It’s always nice to see you pop up in my feed. 🙂

  30. I’m excited to see what you try! You are so funny and I love how real you are. ❤️

  31. This is me. Except it’s been 4.5 years since the last baby. I got pretty close to “normal” about a year ago, but now I’m up again and have 40-50 lbs that need to go so I can wear my clothes again. I just recently started running again with runbet, but I’m excited to watch what you try!

  32. I can totally relate!! Have you tried high fitness yet? Pocatello has an AMAZING instructor. If you are ever in the area check the schedule on instagram Pocatello high fitness. It’s the first exercise class for me that I actually enjoy! Thanks for posting.
